WRPDD's Community Development Department works with a wide variety of funding sources to help improve the lives of District residents. Staff members assist cities and counties with applications for grant funds, and administer the projects once they are funded. Financing and administration are coordinated by WRPDD staff, to build public works such as community water systems, wastewater systems, rural fire departments, day care centers and senior citizens centers. Numerous cities and counties are assisted each year in preparing and administering grant applications for recreation and tourism development. Listed below are a few of the different types of grant programs utilized by the Community Development staff.
