Delta Regional Authority Anounces $1.7 Million Investment

Delta Regional Authority (DRA) announced on October 6, 2022 that $1.7 million will be invested into five Arkansas infrastructure projects through DRA’s Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF). The investment will be matched by $3 million and will attract an additional $23 million in capital investments. The CIF program addresses unmet basic public infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, and flood control needs to help build safer, more resilient communities in the Delta region. These projects are expected to create or retain 71 jobs and affect over 1,150 families.  The WRPDD applications funded within the district are the following:

  1. Independence County Access Road | Batesville, AR: Independence County will use DRA funds to construct an access road off of the highway, an access road to the parking area, and a parking area on the new American Stave Company mill project site. This investment is projected to create 45 jobs.
    • DRA Investment: $414,915
    • Total Investment: $460,139
    • Additional Capital Investment: $23,000,000
